      How It Works

      New to Pick'em or just need a refresher? Here's how to get started in three simple steps. Join, play, win.

      Join a Pool

      Choose between Otter Club ($20, straight-up winners) and Shark Club ($50, against the spread), or join both for more action. After signing up, you'll receive an email with your Sleeper invite link and Venmo details. Pay your entry fee via Venmo before kickoff of the first regular season game to secure your spot!

      Make Your Picks Each Week

      Log in to Sleeper and open your pool to make picks before each game's kickoff, with Thursday games locking first. In Otter Club, you'll pick the outright winner, while in Shark Club you'll pick against the spread. For the best experience, use the Sleeper app, available on both Apple and Android devices.

      Win Weekly & Season Prizes

      Once your picks are locked in, you can sit back, relax, and enjoy the games! Sleeper updates in real time with the winning teams and automatically tracks your score. Each week, the top three finishers are announced, and the overall leaderboard shows how you stack up across the entire season.

      Yes! You can join either Otter Club (Straight picks), Shark Club (Spread picks), or both. Playing in both doubles your chances to win weekly and season-long prizes.
      Each pool's total entry fees are split 20% for weekly winners and 80% for season-long standings. Payout amounts increase as more members join.
      Yes. Sleeper is the platform we use to host both pools, manage picks, and track standings. If you don't have an account, you can sign up for free at sleeper.com.
      Log in to Sleeper and open the pool you've joined.
      • Otter Club (Straight): pick the outright winner of each game. You earn a point for every correct prediction.
      • Shark Club (Spread): pick against the listed point spread. You earn a point if your pick "covers" the spread based on Sleeper's game lines.
      You can change any pick up until that game's scheduled kickoff — Thursday Night Football locks first each week.
      Weekly ties use Sleeper's tiebreaker: guessing the total points scored in the Monday Night game. Whoever is closest to the actual total wins, regardless of whether the guess is over or under. In the event there is still a tie, Sleeper will use the overall point total to determine the winner.
      Weekly winners are paid after all games for that week have concluded. Season-long payouts are made after the final regular season game.
